Less than Jake Common Grounds, Gainesville Florida Did you get a chance to see Less Than Jake play Gainesville at Common Grounds this week? If you did, you are 1 of a lucky 200 fans. This venue doubles as a small coffee house during the day for students at the University of Florida Gainesville. There are signs posted that state if you are not quiet, you will be asked to leave. So how does this place land big acts like Less Than Jake and recently The Starting Line? 
They offer great ticket pricing and decent drink specials. Common Grounds also gives the locals a place to be up close and personal with some amazing acts. On 5/3/05 some great opening acts rocked the stage including Roger Manganelli’s side project “Rehasher”. Be sure to check them out at www.rehasher.com.

After all the openers finished up, fans patiently waited for Chris and the gang to play with chants of “LESS THAN JAKE” filling the room. Finally, the area darkened and the Monday Night Football theme song began to flow from the speakers. The crowd went nuts and then LTJ appeared. An amazing set list, confetti cannons, and lots of wise cracks made this show very cool and truly unforgettable. Inflatable fire crackers from the “Anthem” album bounced around the crowd in-between bodies surfing to the tunes.
